Send PayShap Requests without any charges. PayShap fees apply when paying received requests.

Get full control over the PayShap Requests you send and receive. When sending a request, you can set an expiry date and a minimum amount. Received an unrecognised request? You can easily decline it.

Send PayShap Requests, knowing the recipient’s details are displayed, ensuring that your request is sent to the right person.

Higher Limits

Pay up to R50,000 when approving a received request. When sending a request, check the limits set by the receiver’s bank.

Get Started With PayShap

Select PayShap in your HBZ Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking to find your ShapID
Share your HBZ ShapID which is your cellphone number @HBZ (e.g. 0820000000@HBZ) to receive PayShap payments or PayShap Requests
Send a new PayShap Request or pay with PayShap by entering the recipient’s ShapID, Shap Name, or bank account details
Check the recipient’s displayed information to ensure that you are paying or sending a request to the right recipient
Select PayShap Request in your HBZ Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking to view the status of your sent and received requests
